Branching Out (or at least trying to)

Okay folks, in my quest to venture out; I decided I would try my hand at  making a video.  I am exhausted!  My head hurts from thinking and trying to figure this out, so I'm just going to try to upload what I have.  It is EXTREMELY generic! You may get more of a laugh rather than actual colouring tips from this fiasco.  Let me just say, James Cameron doesn't have anything to worry about! At the end of film nightmare, I realized that I should have probably had the video either position over my shoulders or on the side.    I also discovered that I should have shot this with solar light or natural lighting.  There is just waaaaay too much stuff involved in this video tutorialin'.   I am currently finishing up WRITTEN tutorials for Jackson's Digital Expressions  on colouring with Copics using one of Robert's images.  Yeah, that's not so easy either...however, I'm no quitter (currently); so I'll just keep it pushin'.   Now, that I have conquered the world of film; I'm pushin' on to landscaping (mowing the lawn) watch out Briggs & Stratton and DYI the Scrapbook Stampinista is coming thru!!!!!

Til' da next time (get it Tilda...ooh I just crack myself up! hee-hee) ,  Fleur-de-Lys `a chacun!

Good Things

Hi Everyone,
Wow, the blog hop is in the bag now and over at Jackson's Digital Expressions the train is just chuggin' along. Congratulations again to all the winners and to everyone who participated. Stop by often, there is a challenge EVERY week!  This week the sketch team is up.  If  you love sketches this is the challenge for YOU!

Well... I've been mentioning for the last few months that things were changing around here and so it begins.  If you noticed the name of the blog has finally arrived.  Welcome to "My Enchanted Paper Creations". Lawdy, if yins only knew how many names I went thru to finally find one that really is my spirit!!!!!   It feels like a grand opening (lol).  You will notice quite a bit of construction over the next few months as I develop the site even further.  You will want to keep track of the goings-on (as the old folk say)  something special is coming and it's gonna be nice too!!  I still have a few things left to do before the site is where I want it to be but I graduated from blog designing 101 and I'm on a roll.  Wouldn't you know I would decide to make my move when blogger changes it's format ( leave it to me)! I'll be trying new things and if I don't like them I'll get rid of them, do a little tweeking here and there; so don't be surprised if one day you see something and next time you visit it's gone. Well, it is extremely early in the morning here in Texas and I was so into putting my new blog designing skills to work, I forgot to go to bed (I'll just do that now).  Good night, morning, or afternoon mon amis.

Smooches from Janessa

Hey my people,

Happy Easter to everyone!!!! This is one of my favorite holidays.  I just love the meaning of Easter, it is the beginning of life for everything.    I am in such a good mood, I thought it would time to enter a few challenges, so I did a Saturated Canaray (SC) digi stamp for my entries.  These digis are the hottest on the market currently!  You can hardly go to anyone's blog and not see at least one of these lil' cuties.  Their expressions are just priceless!  I love the attitude of some and the humbleness of others.  The artist of these little darlings is the super talented Krista Smith just click on her name to go to her SC blog.  Her DT members are just as talented in the way they bring the digis to life, they truly inspire you to want to buy more and more by showing the versatility of the image. I encourage you to visit the  Saturated Canary Blog  and just look through the gallery, it is incredible! If you are interested there is a link to Krista's Esty shop on the blog where you can purchase the digis.  They are sooooo cute, you are going to want to buy all of them!
I coloured Janessa (one of my favorites) for the current SC challenge -"Thinking of You" with Copics from Oozak.  The winner gets to choose 3 (three) SC digis and the top 3 get will also receive a digi.  Oh yeah baby, I'm entering and I hope to see your entry there too!
I did a close up of the burlap bag I used and I also showed the inside of the card.  I don't usually put sentiments on the cards or anything in the insides because I never know the occasional or the person to the last minute.  So for this one, I just grabbed a sentiment that was on my workstation, to at least have something in the inside of the card.  The multi print hearts I made by cutting different strips of the Bo Bunny Smooches. The larger ones are embossed with a nesti and cut out and the tiny ones I just punched out.   I will also enter lil' Mzzzz Janessa in Party Time Tuesday's Spot Light on Flowers--PARTY ON Ladies!

Enjoy, Joyce

Multi Cut Card

Hey everyone,
Hope all is going well. I am finally in my stamp lab.  I've been playing in my yard all day, ooh lawdaaay I'm one tired sister!  I also had to go price new trees.  Unfortunately, last years Texas drought really did a number on my oak saplings and they are gone (sad face).  I really have to work fast to get them out of the ground or else my HOA will be sending me a letter (how special).  So next week, instead of by stamping supplies, I'll be using my funds to buy two new trees.  Have yins priced trees lately?! It's just insane! It's $300 bucks for a baby tree!!!!!! I need a total of 4 trees!  Oh well, in a couple of years my yard will be just the way I want it (it better be for the total price of all the landscaping I have to do).  Oh yeah, did I tell you I got rid of the yard men? Yeah, now I'm the yard person. Have yins seen the price of lawn equipment?! I'm not even going there (oh yes the heck I am)  just go to Home Depot or Loews.  It's seems my money was just floating out of my purse every step I took in the store.  Whew, I need to just calm down.  I'm in a serene place (my stamp lab), I need to Release, Relax, and Relate...
Well, enough of that craziness on to bigger and better things.  I want to share a card that I saw on the YOU.  I am so sorry, I get so excited about making the card that I forget to write the name of the person on You Tube.  I will try to be more mindful of this.  I know that some folk (yes, I mean folk) get a little perturbed if you do not mention them.  My apologies fellow cardies, I promise to be more mindful from now on (ok, feeling really guilty right about now).  Ok, ok so let me show you my card.  I don't have anyone in particular to give the card to ( I never do)  but you can never have enough cards in  your arsenal for any occasion. So without further delay, as the saying goes- HERE'S MY CARD-BAM!

Don't forget only 2 more days until the debut of
Jackson's Digital Expressions Blog Hop and Challenge !

HAPPY EASTER! Joyce (SS)

Prismacolor Pencils and no Gamsol or Mineral Spirits!!

Hello my people!
I'll bet you're just as shocked as I am.  Whaaaaaaat?! SS is picking up the pace on her bloggin'? Yes, I have a little more to say these days.  The last few weeks has been interesting to say the least but I won't bore yins with the details.  On to the show... Okay, so I'm trying to do a little more here and there; so now all of a sudden I'm really liking these Prismacolour pencils (however never, I say never more than  my COPICS)!!  I have a very dear friend who has lung problems so they can't really do the Gamsol and certainly not the Mineral Spirits from you know where!  I started thinking about what could they do to achieve the same effects as the above mentioned solutions.  When in question of "how to"  I just go to school on the YOU.  You Tube that is. I found this video and thank you to the individuals who put this instructional on, it was wonderful.  I thought I saved the link but sorry yins, with all my technilogical skills I DID NOT.  But just go to YT and put in Prismacolour pencils or something related and the video should come up (I said it "should", maybe the would should be "might").  It's a lady colouring a flower with only Prismacolour or some brand of coloured pencils, a white coloured pencil and she uses a retractable eraser. You talking about pretty, oh my!  Of course, I had to just go right out and purchase  more coloured pencils (Prismacolor-because the 12 I had was surely not enough), plus 4 white Prismacolour pencils (yes, one does come in the package), and some retractable erasers (also bought a package of refills because of course the 3 in the package would not be enough-overkill is a good thing).  I love this technique, no smelly liquids to achieve the same look as if you did use the stinky stuff. I did not make it into a card, because I was just playing around but I really like the way it turned out.  Check it out and be sure to try the technique out as well (yes, this would be a good time to dust those pencils off that you bought at the stamp show or the convention, you know the ones you haven't used but paid a mint for-lol).  If you don't have any, well you know what that means!!! Run, don't walk, hurry, someone else near you is on their way to the store to get some and by the time you get there they'll be out!!! (Oh dear, how sad that will be)!!!!!!

Just a quick reminder of the Inaugural Blog Hop and Challenge that will start Monday, April 9th over at Jackson's Digital Expressions  It is also an introduction of the DT for the images. The design team has really been putting on the works for the debut.  It promises to be a lot of fun! I hope you will hop along with us and enjoy the challenge.

4 days and counting!

I mentioned awhile back that I would be changing the name of my blog. I couldn't think of a name so I have just been using my crafting name "Scrapbook Stampinista". I finally decided on a name which I think truely reflects me.  Not only am I changing the name of the blog but soon the blog will get a little face lift. You know the ole' saying Everything old is new again.   Stay tune for that, I will  announce the name after the blog hop has completed.

New Equipment

Howdy Y'all
Been a little busy, learning the dos and don'ts of being on a DT.  Nothing too much though, having a good time learning.  Additionally, I am the team lead for the Copic team (eeek), a little scary but I have a great team I am working with.  Do hop by and see what's going on at Jackson's Digital Expressions and don't forget the blog hop starts Monday, April 9th. The team is working really hard make sure everyone has a hopping good time!!
Okay, on to the new equipment part.  Let me just say, sometimes it pays to live like a pauper throughout the year; it makes tax time a little less painful.  I picked up a couple two three pieces of pure-de-sunshine! A Grand Calibur and a Vagabond! Oh but hold on sisters, don't leave the church just yet...  I thought I was in Heaven already (in my stamp lab), but then thanks to my good ole' friend Kylie I got a Singer 160th Anniversary sewing machine (ma'ams and sirs I did)!  I say if you are going to hang with the bigg girlz and boyz,  you'd better have some bigg toyz (ooh, I crack myself up; either that or I am just deliriously sleepy)!   I was so excited, of course I had to play with the toyz asap. I used my Grand Calibur (got Grand labels 1 and 23) and even sewed my first project!  You can see pix of the project and the sewing machine below (excuse the background scenary, I was cleaning out a closet to adjust some things in the stamp lab). I have not had a chance to used my Vagabond yet, but I plan to give it a whirl sometime this week.  Well my little lovies, that's it for now.

My very first sewing machine, thanks Kylie
(no, Kylie didn't buy it for me, you guys are so funny).

Pin Cushin Thread Catcher.  I just used it for table scrap catcher.

A view from the top, the lining of course has Fleur-de-Lys.  You know its got to have a Fleur-de-Lys somewhere on it.

Have a great nite and an even better tomorrow, Joyce.
